Get the real price after a discount

A discount percent is easy to misread when you are busy. This tool gives you the exact final price and the dollar amount saved, so you can quote a promo price or check a supplier deal without second-guessing the math. Enter the original price and the discount, and you have the answer.

Stacked discounts do not simply add

Two 25 percent discounts do not make 50 percent off. The second discount applies to the already reduced price, so the effective discount is lower than the sum. A 25 percent then 25 percent stack gives about 44 percent off, not 50. The effective-off figure here shows the true combined discount, which matters when you plan clearance pricing or layered promotions.

How to use it

Enter the original price and the main discount. Add a second discount if you stack offers, or leave it at zero. The tool shows the final price, the amount saved, and the real effective discount. To make sure a discounted price still earns a profit, check it against the Profit Margin Calculator.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you calculate a discount price?

Multiply the original price by one minus the discount percent. For 25 percent off, multiply by 0.75.

Do two discounts add together?

No. The second discount applies to the reduced price, so the combined effect is less than the simple sum.

Can a discount price lose money?

Yes, if it falls below your cost. Always check the discounted price keeps a positive margin.

Is it free?

Yes, free and private.
